I was born and raised in Connecticut and have a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in Interior Architecture. After growing up on the East Coast and studying there, I made the leap cross-country and have spent the last 6 years in Los Angeles working in the Art Department for television and film.
While it's been a fun and exciting ride working in "show business", I've discovered my real passion is designing and making furniture. An opportunity in the New Haven, Connecticut area has come up, and I'm excited to say that it's allowing me to setup my shop, build full time, and pursue what I love. BMEYER studio started as a weekend hobby and has now become a full time shop. I'm excited to say that in fall of 2015, we will be expanding to include light fixtures as a collaboration with Meyer Wire & Cable Co.
